Hate/Life/Throatruiner/Swarm Of Nails/MMX Sampler Review



  This  is  a  review  of  a  sampler  between  Throatruiner  Records  and  Swarm  Of  Nails  records  and  we  will  review  the  songs  one  by  one.

    Anorak  brings  us  "Some  Skirts"  a  crust/grind/hardcore  song  with  some  noisy  and  psychedelic  sounding  guitars  and  strong  bass  lines  as  well  as  a  good  amount  of  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Arms  Of  Ra  with  "Pyramids"  a  sludge/doom  metal  song  with  Egyptian  mythology  lyrics  that  utilizes  heavy  growls  and  screaming  and  post  rock  style  guitar  riffs  that  have  a  70's  stoner  doom  feeling  to  them.

  Next  up  is  Art  Of  Burning  Water  with  "Only  Choking"  a  noisy  and  fast  grind/crust  song  with  screaming  vocals,  heavy  bass  lines  and  hardcore  influenced  guitar  riffs.

  Next  up  is  As  We  Draw  with  "Way  Down"  a  post  hardcore/grind  song  with  some  progressive  style  riffing,  heavy  bass  lines  and  screaming  vocals  mixed  in  with  some  post  hardcore  clean  singing.

  Next  up  is  Birds  In  Row  with  "Orange  Disease"  a  post  hardcore/sludge  song  with  melodic  riffs  and  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Bloodkitt  with  "Void  Woods,  Skin  Roads"  a  long  doom/black/death/sludge  song  with  heavy  riffs,  powerful  bass  lines  and  deep  doom/death  metal  growls  and  high  pitched  black metal  screams.

  Next  up  is  Bone  Dance  with  "Birds  Singing(Wolves  Liking  Blood)"  a  heavy  sludge/crust/grind/hardcore  hybrid  song.

  Next  up  is  Celeste  with  "II  y  a  bien  des  porcs  que  ca  feriat  bander  de'tetouffer"  a  blackened  hardcore  song.

  Next  up  is  Chere  Catastrophe  with  "Party Time"  an  instrumental  post  rock/hardcore  song.

  Next up is Danishmendt  with  "Chtes"  along  sludge/doom/hardcore  song  with  semi  screamed  vocals  and  black  metal  influenced  guitar  riffs.

  Next  up is  Dreams  of  The  Drowned  with  "Liquids  Of  Apathy"  a  blackended  hardcore  song  with  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Elitist  with  "Back  To  The  Funeral"  a  heavy  doom/sludgecore  song  with  heavy  vocals,  distorted  guitar  leads  and  powerful  bass  lines.

  Next  up  is  Exilym  with  "Man  Never  Went  To  The  Moon"  a  song  with  a  depressive  piano  piece  that  has  an  ambient  feeling  to  it  mixed  in  with  some  heavy  guitar  riffs.

  Next  up  is  HKY  with  "Monument  Inversion"  a  long  song  that  is  very  atmospheric  and  heavy  doom  metal  that  mixes  in  a  good  amount  of  heavy  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Huata  with  "Alchemist  Reborn"  a  heavy  stoner  doom  metal  song  that  has a  70's  metal/rock  feeling  to  it  with  occult  and  magick  lyrics  that  mixes  clean  singing  and  growls.

  Next  up  is  Mygirlfriendisawatermelon  with  "You  Should  Try"  I  saw  that  mixes  techical  death  metal with  grindcore  and  industrial  mixed  in  with  deep  growls,  screams  and  a  good  sense  of  melody.

  Next  up  is  Nesseria  with  "Pars  Pertes  Et  Profits"  a  raw  and  primitive  black  metal  song  that  mixes in  influences  from  hardcore,  crust  and  sludge.

  Next  up is  Pigeon  with  "Anchorite"  a  heavy  sludge/grind  hardcore  song  with  heavy  riffs  and  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Plebeian  Grandstand  with  "Ordo  Ab  Chao"  a  heavy  sludge/hardcore  vocals  with  noisy  guitars  and  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Pretty  Mary  Dies  with  "To  The  Bomb"  a  heavy  fast  crust/grind/hardcore  with  powerful bass  lines  and  screaming  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Quartier  Rouge  with  "Douche  Doree"  a  heavy  crust/grind/hardcore  song.
 
Next  up  is  Reno  with  "Is  This  A  Turning  Point  Or  The  End"  a  heavy  noise/post  rock/sludge/hardcore  song that  is  very  melodic.

  Next  up  is  RQTN  with  "N3"  an  atmospheric  ambient  song  that  has  a  depressive  feeling  to  it.

  Next  up  is  Sickbag  with  "Scar  Manifesto"  a  heavy  hardcore/grind  song  that  has  some  very  aggressive  vocals  that  are  both  growled  and  screamed.

  Next  up  is  Stuntman  with  "Draw  The  Portrait"  a  heavy  sludge/hardcore  with  screaming  and  growled  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Totorro  with  "My  Bob's  Blue  Eyes"  a  long  song  that  is  instrumental,  atmospheric  and  heavy.

  Closing  the  compilation  is  Xnoybis  with "Picardian  Fight  Song"  a  post  rock/hardcore  song.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  a  decent  compilation  with  alot  of  diverse  music  styles  and  if  you  look variety,  you  should  enjoy  this  compilation.  RECOMMENDED.
